Cold day in the Sun are an anonymous group of music loving individuals who normally work in catering. However due to the Covid-19 pandemic they have seen their normal work dry up and reduce dramatically. They used the free time this gave them to experiment with their love of music and to record a single, Lockdown Christmas. Their singer and songwriter is the daughter of two musicians and has been singing and writing since she was a child. Having never had the time to pursue a career in music before she is hoping this release could be the first of many. The band will donate 10% of any profit they make to the Trussel Trust, a charity that runs food banks around the UK. They chose this charity as, as caterers, feeding people is a cause very close to their hearts and food banks in the UK have been under huge pressure, particularly this year.
